Middletown Hill near Wollaston Lodge - Shropshire Welsh bordersWalking breaks at Wollaston Lodge

Wollaston is perfectly situated for lovely walking in very pretty countryside. We can recommend many walks in the area and have ourselves been working our way through Judy Smiths “Shropshire, A dog Walkers Guide with 20 great dog walks ranging from 2 -7 miles. All of these walks lead to a pub!! You can also find other walks at www.bestwalks.com/shropshirebooks. We even have a dog who is always thrilled when the lead comes out in case you want company.

We love animals and are a very dog friendly family but as the house is furnished to such a high standard, we do not allow animals in the house but they are more than welcome to roam the gardens. We have kennels at the bottom of our road who can be found at www.facebook.com/whitleycrest

For walking purists, we have over 3,500 miles of right of way in Shropshire and many walks can be found at www.shropshirewalking.co.uk. As we are on the border of Powys, striking out into Snowdonia is very simple, it is a beautiful drive.

There are also walks closer to Wollaston which can be found at www.go4awalk.com/walks. Cycling in the hills is also lovely here, within a few minutes you can be away from it all in the heart of sheep farming country. We have a large garage where you can leave your bikes (We hope to have some we can lend out within a few weeks, please enquire)
