General information about Wollaston Lodge Accomodation.

Wollaston Lodge is a very comfortable country house arranged over three floors with a Coach House annexe. It has appeared in 25 Beautiful Homes and is ideal for group get togethers.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a six burner range, two dishwashers, two fridge freezers and cupboards full of glasses, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. You shouldn’t need for anything. We have a microwave and coffee machine. In the utility there is a washing machine and tumble dryer if needed.

We have very good internet throughout the house considering we are in the countryside. There is a TV in every room. We leave Bluetooth enabled speakers for you to play your own music.

There is a PlayStation and lots of games and puzzles, and books to read.

Outside are the lovely Italianate gardens, an all weather tennis court, that has football nets on it, a yoga/dance studio with a tv and lots of instructional dvds, as well as a table tennis table. And, of course, we have the six person hot tub that looks out across the valley, stunning views.

You can choose to eat in the Orangery indoors which can have the doors open, or on the upper terrace, or in the main part of the garden. We have tables, chairs, and benches for quiet places to relax, you will even find a hammock strewn between two trees at the bottom of the garden.

There is parking for up to ten cars.

Wollaston has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms as follows:

Ground floor: 

  • WC

    • First Floor:

  • Bedroom 1, Kingsize four poster, possibility of 2 x 3’ day beds.
    Ensuite shower room. This room can sleep 2/3 or 4 people. 20’ x 17’.
  • Bedroom 2, Kingsize, possibility of 2 x 3’ day beds.
    Private shower room adjacent. This room sleeps 2/3 or 4 people. 19’ x 16’.
  • Bedroom 3, Kingsize.
    Ensuite shower room. Sleeps 2 people, enough room for a travel cot if required. 17’ x 11’.

    • Second Floor:

  • Bedroom 4, double, ensuite shower room. Sleeps 2 people. 18’ x 12'
  • Bedroom 5, double, large family bathroom adjacent. This room can sleep 2 people. This is the smallest room. 11’ x 11’.
  • Also on the top floor there is a 3’6” bed, popular with teenagers. This bed would share the family bathroom with bedroom 5.

    • Coach House:

    This is accessed on the ground floor from the corridor behind the sitting room. It feels like part of the main house, no need to go outside.
  • Bedroom 6. Ground floor two single beds. This room can sleep 2 people. 15' x 12'.
  • Bedroom 7. This is upstairs in the Coach House. Kingsize. This room sleeps two people, but there is a lounge with a large leather corner sofa that some children have slept on in the past. Overall 30‘ x 15’.

    Note: The two bedrooms in The Coach House share a ground floor family bathroom. Access to the upper floor is past the two single beds on the ground floor.

    • Bathrooms are modern and work from a pressurised system ensuring good pressure throughout.
